What is NLP?The Technology for Changing Lives

Dear Friend,
I understand you’re curious to learn… What is NLP? Asking really good questions is an excellent way to start, so first things first: NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming
In other words, learning NLP is like learning the language of your own mind!
With NLP, we learn to make sense of our thinking in a way it’s a lot like using apps on a smartphone. Let’s make this even simpler. Here’s an example: Have you ever tried to communicate with someone who spoke a different language, and they couldn’t understand you? A familiar example is when someone’s at a restaurant in a foreign country and they think they ordered pasta, but when the food shows up it turns out they actually ordered some kind of strange smelling liver stew. Unfortunately, that’s the kind of relationship most people have with their unconscious mind. We might think we’re ‘ordering up’ financial wealth and security, satisfying relationships, a happy family life, and being able to stick with a healthy eating plan… but if that isn’t what you’re being served then it’s time to realise something’s getting lost in translation. We have a saying in NLP: the conscious mind is the goal-setter and the unconscious is the goal-getter. Now, despite how it feels sometimes, your unconscious mind is not out to get you! Rather, its job is to get FOR YOU whatever you desire in life. That might not always be easy to believe, but if you’re not communicating in a way that your unconscious understands, it will go right on serving up those strange smelling bowls of liver stew. In other words, if you’re not getting what you want then when would now be a good time to learn a different way to place your order? In fact, go ahead right now and think of, if there's one thing you could change, one habit you could break, what would it be?
Now, the good news is that your mind works better than you think and it can learn new things just as quickly and easily as it learned the old ones. The even better news is that Neuro-Linguistic Programming is like being handed a user’s manual for the brain! And taking NLP training is like learning how to speak the language of your mind so that the helpful ‘server’ that is your unconscious will finally understand what it is that you actually want out of life. NLP is the study of excellent communication – both for your benefit and with others. NLP was developed by modeling therapists who were fantastic communicators and who achieved exceptional results. A key principle of NLP is to use what works. These therapists did things differently… and they certainly worked for a change! Now, a lot of people know about the vast number of highly effective NLP techniques, like the Fast Phobia Cure. Personally, I prefer the description offered by my mentor: “NLP is an attitude of insatiable curiosity about human beings with a methodology that leaves behind it a trail of techniques.” ~Dr. Richard Bandler And it’s certainly great to know powerful tools and techniques for inspiring minds, and with the right attitude and a few key principles nothing will stop you from achieving your goals and getting the results you desire… for yourself and for anyone you like. Now, here at WinVision International Academy of NLP presented by yours truly, Darren Miller, our mission is to help as many people as we are able to learn to live fulfilling lives of abundant wealth, health and well-being. So how does serving with NLP training help achieve that? Well, the answer to that question is somewhat personal. During the many years I served my clients as a Life Changing Coach and Master Hypnotist, I thought of each and every client I helped as dropping another pebble in the pond of making a positive difference in the world. I liked to imagine that, when each client walked out of my office feeling great and going on to live a more fulfilling life, the positive ripples would spread all throughout their lives… touching their family, friends, and colleagues… and how if even a little bit of that positive energy rubbed off on those close to them… and, in turn, all of the people’s lives they touched… those ripples would continue to spread on and on and on… And that’s a very rewarding feeling, to drop a few thousand pebbles, so to speak. Then one day I realised that if I were to teach others these magical NLP skills, it would be like handing out truckloads of pebbles and the positive effects would multiply exponentially! Forget ripples… now we’re making waves together! Admittedly, as a long-time surfer, making waves of transformation truly appeals. And that’s what NLP is all about. |
Sincerely,
