The shorter text version of how Darren got started.

Like his favorite mentor and other well-known self-development icons, Darren's introduction to personal growth technologies was originally born of necessity. His first experience with NLP and hypnosis came back in 1995 as he sought help for his own life challenges.
In Darren's words: "My life up to that point was like a bad country western song. I had lost my job... again, my girlfriend had left me... again, and if I'd had a dog at the time I would have feared for his life! I was broke, suffering and living with the constant feeling that the world might end at any moment."
"I searched desperately for a solution to my destructive habits of thinking, but all I got from 6 different therapists and reading every book on psychology that I could find were a few fancy names for the emotional challenges I faced. Unfortunately, that didn't change anything."
"After nearly 20 years of searching, I finally found the answer! Surprisingly, I found the solution in the last place I would have ever suspected... right inside my own brain! Ironically, the solution had been there all along. I had just never learned how to use it properly until I found NLP and hypnosis."
Fortunately, a man he affectionately calls Dr. Joe introduced Darren to NLP and hypnosis, and it was then that he began voraciously mastering the mental skills that would change his mind and the trajectory of his life forever!

Darren has since dedicated his life to teaching these powerful skills so that other helping professionals and people seeking to improve their lives can benefit from his experience. Not only for solving problems, but to inspire people to discover just how truly amazing life can be when you take the best of you have and learn to make it even better.
